I am here for a real moan, to-day we heard from thePRS. To those of you who don't know, the performing rights society. We pay our taxes on all our earnings, we pay for a music licence, a TV licence, which I might add is dearer than a home licence. VAT, a premium price for gas & electric. Because we are a bussiness.We pay our rates , but pay for our own bins to be emptyed.We get no help from the govenment when they decide on new fire regulations, no help with disability access. And now The performing right society. They are extremly rude on the phone,I thought I would send Cliff Richard or Elton John an e-mail, I would like to say, DEAR SIR, you are a very rich man. Over the years I & many hundreds & thousands of people have purchased your records, that is why you are rich. Never in my life time will I earn money like you. But making us pay over £400 per bedroom so my guests can play the radio is maddness. I buy your record ,I pay for a licence to listen to your music, the radio pays per record to play your music & now you think you deserve more. To-morrow I am going to put up a notice in my reception. From to-day no-one will be allowed to use a radio or play music in this hotel , due to the fact that some shit thinks their not being paid enough.!!! god help the low paid!!
