The weather is a bit better to day not like all that rain over the country, Last night we where a bit worried because the waves where a bit high & we are only about 50 yds from the sea front,.The better day has brought in a few new visitors.My cuison from South Arica came to stay last night with his family. His little girl Llaia who is six sang Happy Birthday to one of the guests in Africano ,everyone was very touched. The garden has taken a bit of a beating & the next doors drains have collapsed. We thinks it was due to all the excess water from the rain. These old houses where built in the 1800's so goddness knows how old the drains are !.
I've entered for the Llandudno in Bloom contest, if this weather & rain continues the council won't have any flowers to judge.The rain poured in one of the bedrooms last night, some clot left the window wide open whilst he slept, when he woke his bed was soocking, right through the douvet cover to the mattress, had a few to drink me thinks! Says he never noticed till he woke this morning.\had to put him in another room whilst we try it out, carpet ,mattress. the lot.David has got some of the outside painting done this afternoon.Last time we employed someone to paint they never turned up till 10.30,,,,, had a tea break, had lunch, had a tea break & went home at 4.30pm.We where paying them by the hour. One decided to stay & finish off a section, He was ready to go at 6pm. David asked him if he would like to stay for dinner. We gave him soup, steak in red wine sause with trimings, then desert. He then sat down,in the bar, & we gave him a pint. Eventually he went home about 8pm. At the end of the week I paid both guys. This one asks for his over time!! @I could have been home by 6pm ' he says My god I said, I don't mind giving you a free dinner but I'am blowed if I 'm going to pay you for eating it.!! Hence the reason David is doing his own house painting....
